Packaging

As an online plant retailer, packaging is extremely important to us. We must always ensure that we do our absolute best to get your plants to you in the best condition. From numerous amounts of feedback, we know that we are doing a great job. In this article, we want to ease your mind if you are considering having plants sent to you by post from PaisleyFlamingo.

When we receive an order, the first thing we do is work out whether there is a possibility that a delay may cause your order to be stuck in a sorting office somewhere. If there is a postal strike, we will send your order via a different method, or hold off on sending until normal service has been resumed. If you order on a Thursday or Friday, we will normally wait until the Monday before sending, so that your package isn't left waiting in a van.

Once we have worked out when is best to send your order, the next thing we do is choose the right box. This is pretty simple, the bigger the order, the bigger the box. Having said this, we like to make sure your order is packaged as tightly as possible so there is little room for your plants to move around. Along with doing this, we use void filler to make it even less likely your order will move around.

Each individual plant is packaged seperately inside your parcel. First, we use cling film to wrap around the pot and base of your plant. This ensures the soil wont come out and your plant with it! Next we use craft paper to protect the foliage as much as possible. We wrap them as tightly as possible without damaging the leaves or flowers. All of your products are placed inside the parcel with void filler and then sealed shut. On every package we send, we use 'fragile' stickers or 'handle carefully' labels.

At PaisleyFlamingo, we do our absolute best to be as green as possible when sending out our plants. All of our boxes are recyclable, along with our paper wrapping. The void filler we use can be broken down with water. Put it in your sink and when wet, it will dissolve. We are also more than happy to take back any extra drainage pots you no longer need. Please send us an email to arrange sending them to us.

Once your order is carefully packaged inside the parcel, we work out which carrier to use. If your parcel is fairly small, we will use Royal Mail and aim to get your parcel to you in 2-3 days. If you parcel is slightly larger we will use a courier service. This service will have your parcel to you in 2-3 days.

We ship to England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

When you receive your parcel, we suggest opening it as soon as possible. Whilst we are confident in saying you shouldn't have any issues, there are of course possibilities that your items may not arrive in the condition you had expected. If you can let us know as soon as possible, we can help you straight away.

As I am sure you are aware, some plants are a little... dramatic. Peace lillys for example, are notorious for playing dead should they need a little drink. Please take this into account or ask for our advice if you have any plants you are not sure on. In some instances, we will advise you how to care for your plant, before arranging any replacements or financial compensation.

We are very confident in the service we provide, and from your feedback, we know you are confident in us! If you have any questions regarding our packaging, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.

We look forward to sending your plants to you.
